Trajan Vanko was believed to be, for the longest, an Advanced
Human. He was raised by the Archons and given power by them. He is telepathic, a
shape-shifter, and can heal even the gravest of wounds, but his most
extraordinary ability is that of ‘inheriting’, in the way that it is done by
vampires. Though Trajan is not a vampire, he has the teeth of one as well as a
mild form of bloodlust. But he was not born this way, like all of his powers;
this feature was given to him in an ancient Archonic ritual called the ‘Karak-oun’.
The Archons knew that Trajan was strong. They knew there was something about him
that not even they could understand. To let him slip through their fingers was
not an option. They found Trajan when he was nine-years old. His mother and
father were killed by Toran demons and he was left alive. It is said that the
Toran demons too, knew something was very different about him, hence the reason
he was not murdered along with his family.
Trajan became a Prince among the Archonic tribes of the Devenmore; a division of
Archons that rebelled against the Archon king, King Meltuho-nyne, many years
ago. The Tribes of Devenmore became outcasts, dubbed as traitors among the
Archon blood, and though Trajan was only a young boy when the Devenmore took
him, he too became a target. As he grew, he was taught how to battle, how to
inherit power and many Archonic secrets that later he would begin using to his
advantage.
Within the tribe, Trajan was in fact, named Prince of the Devenmore Tribes, but
this course of action angered other Archons in the tribes. It was blasphemy to
name any being other than an Archon, with such a title. The Devenmore tribes
broke apart and went to war. Most of them killed one another, and the wars were
what brought the Devenmore tribes to their end. Trajan, at the age of twenty,
left those who survived and set out on his own. Everything they taught him, and
how the Archons were by nature, made Trajan strong, as well as independent. He
did not need or want their protection any longer. But also, Trajan took with him
their evil characteristics. He is not a kind man and has a conscience made air.
That is the story he tells. It is the story that even the Archons will attest
to. But the truth is that it was—and still is—all a great ploy orchestrated by
his race, the Urandrum. Years ago, Trajan took on the form of a child and made
certain that the right Archons would find him and want to keep him. He showed
them his great worth, led them to believe that he was simply ‘special’ and that
one day he could grow to be one of their tools. But he did this to gain
information and to get on the inside of the Archonic Circle…and it worked.
Trajan is one of few Urandrum Elders that can conceal his true demonic identity
from even the most powerful Archon Elders. Not even the Elder, Radu Haji, can do
this as faultlessly as Trajan can.
Today—in the human mask—Trajan works for no one. He is bound to no one and will
submit to no one. He is a loyalist by heart, but not by any accord. He stays to
himself and protects his own. He is very private, but he has been known to show
his true colors from time to time, and they have never been pretty. And although
Trajan never ‘hides’ to maintain his secret life of solitude, sometimes he is
hard to find. The Marakian Empire sent their best trackers to watch him, feeling
that he may be a threat after an incident in the Fortress of Deshu, and not even
they could keep up with his whereabouts at all times. Trajan’s human life and
Urandrum life are entirely separate, as it is with most Urandrum, but his
purpose may later prove to be a bit different from those of his kin.
