-The Six Original Bloodlines-

For centuries, the people of Earth swam in the myths of the blood drinker, the dwellers of darkness...the vampire. But until the opening of the Marakai, only few truly believed those myths to be fact. Vampires remained hidden from the mortal world, faring better to keep the truth of their existence a secret—for various individual reasons—but when the Marakai opened, they were forced out of obscurity for the sake of maintaining their eternal place in the world. They knew they could no longer avoid the world’s politics and wars, for the demons of the Marakai would surely lay siege to all that the vampires secretly controlled for thousands of years. Now, the vampire roams the Earth in open view of all, some plotting against the Marakian Empire, some uniting with it, and others like rampant insurgents who refuse to ally or conform to either side.

There are many stories, told by vampires themselves even, of how they came to be, but none are the same. It seems that vampires are as much in conflict with the truth of their being, as humans are. Some believe that the First was cursed by the Christian God, some believe their vampiric antecedents were victims of demon possession. There are those who trust in the story of how vampires were here before humans, and yes, there are those that believe the notorious Vlad Dracula was the First of their kind. But amidst all stories of origin, only one bares a literal likeness (with the exception of the story of Vlad): The Six Sires.

Not even The Six could be certain how they came to be here, but the one thing they all believe is that there were six created at the same time. They are the oldest known vampires, and no matter what stories bled the ears of listeners, The Six have always been a belief that the majority agrees to be true.
