Shadow Hollows originate in the city of Vonpovnph, first having been created by a monster going by the name of Wo’ Iraj. Hollows are created by taking a creature of lesser power (human, vampire, or werewolf) and putting them in a type of machine which drains them of all life and replaces them with an emptiness, the Hollow. The Hollows created gain the ability to blend into the shadows flawlessly, as well as avoid any earthly weapons by turning the part of their body being attacked into a shadow. A Hollow can only be killed if their head is somehow severed from their body, which must be done swiftly enough that a Hollow does not have the chance to turn into Shadow.
