Tiptoe Through the Tattered Tulips
« on: September 17, 2008, 03:36:45 PM »
Agemf, Blazed, and Moros continued from The Reckoning

All this hupla going on was giving Agemf a damn migraine, and no one was trying to do anything to make it  better. Well, except maybe Blazed, who’s idea of finding a bar really was the best thing she had heard in a while. To be rid of the annoying vampires was a plus though as well, Agemf could care less what happened to them now.

She followed Blazed along the path toward the bar, letting her slip ahead of her purposefully. Her own gaze had fallen to the corpse that was on the side of the path leading to the bar, tilting her head to the side a bit as she slowed down to stare at it. The corpse certainly did look like it burst into flames, the flesh charred and sunken onto the bone. In places the bone itself was visible, and though it was charred as well, it provided quite a contrast to the blackness of the skin, some white still showing through on the bone. The corpses mouth hung open, one hand outstretched as if it were reaching for the door of the bar or something… Which oddly enough wasn’t even there.

Arching a brow she looked away from the corpse toward the bar where Blazed had already disappeared into. Agemf hadn’t heard any screams, or thuds, or the sounds of fighting… so she was assuming that it was “safe” in there. She didn’t know what to expect in there, so she purposefully let Blazed go in by herself first. Better her than Agemf she thought.

Regardless, Agemf now strolled into the bar, looking around and seeing much of the same carnage as outside. With a huff she crossed her arms over her chest, turning to look at Blazed as she came up to her with an armful of liquor.

“Sure looks like the boogey man was already here, but I don’t wanna go back with the blood suckers, they give me a headache.”

Agemf peered at the bottles then, arching a thin brow as she reached up to move a stray strand of red hair out of her eyes.

“Any Gin?”

This was not what Moros had in mind. He did not want to babysit the two annoying chicks that ran off. In his own opinion, he thought that they should just go fend for themselves if they so wish. Why should it matter to him if they even survived?

And what did it matter to Flavius anyway? Why couldn’t he just go if he wanted someone to go with them?

But these thoughts going through his head only made him roll his eyes as he jogged a little to catch up to the two that had entered the bar. He was acting like a child, and he knew it. Flavius was his sire and he should just listen to them… Do what he can for these two annoying women, and leave it at that.

Who knows, perhaps Moros would even grow from the experience?

So Moros made his way to the door of the bar just after Agemf had gone in, peering in just a little as he made his way to through the threshold, though he didn’t step fully in. Instead he placed his hands on either side of the doorframe and looked in, narrowing his eyes a bit as he listened to Agemf mention her headache, then ask for gin. With a grunt and a smirk he shook his head.

“Your not exactly a walk in the park either honey…”

~ After taking a long pull off her rum she had walked over to Agemf and listened as she complained about the other vamps giving her a headache.. she had to admit that she agreed.. Whiney people where never her cup of tea and whiney vamps where just insufferable! After all they had all of eternity to whine and bitch and become even more annoying! No wonder Anne Rice had pretty fem boys like Brad pitt playing vampires. No wonder there was some big evil running around killing all the effeminate wanna be vamps. With that rant in mind she handed Agemf the bottle of gin cluthed under her arm and looked to the door. Speaking of whiney vamps here was another one.. he would rather be pineing over some girl too scared to take care of herself than be out having a good time and thinking for himself. ~

"So you know .. your not exactly what we had thought of as a walk int he park either. Who the hell are you anyways? If you really wanted to be here with us you wouldnt be complaining about what we had to say. Why are you here?! Did someone suggest it to you and you just followed like a damn sheep? I'm so fucking sick of people who dont think for themselves. If your just here to make shit out of us you can go back and graze with the other sheep."

~ Becoming even more annoyed with the whole situation.. she looked at the man in the doorway and couldnt help but think of Mercaid.. he had been a fucking sheep too.. all of them fucking sheep.  She was beginning to think she was happy there was some big ugly otu there thinning out the herd.. as all these thoughts ran rampant through her mind she remembered why she had buried herself int he ice all those years ago.. the temperature in the room dropped and a light sheen of frost formed over the bottle of rum in her hand as she lifted it to her lips and took another drink. Her pale lilac eyes stayed fixed on the man at the door.~

Her eyes darted to look at the door when the pretty boy entered, arching a brow as she brought the bottle of gin to her lips which Blazed had handed off to her. A walk in the park? Agemf just huffed and listened to what Blazed had to say, something about sheep and how he should just leave if he couldn’t think for herself.

Quickly Agemf jumped in at that, looking to Blazed with deviousness in her eyes,
“But no! He’s one of the prettier ones to look at.”

Agemf then looked back toward Moros with a scrutinizing eye, as if sizing him up. Slowly she brought the bottle to her lips, kicking back a short swig before saying, “Maybe if we just keep him away from that annoying one that bosses him around, we could straighten him up?”

He expected for the two to bitch and moan that he was here, but Blazed just totally went on this rant which caused him to roll his eyes. Pushing himself off from leaning on the doorway he made himself fully into the room, doing his best to partially ignore them as he inspected the place. They may not have to find shelter during the day, but did. And he knew he couldn’t count on them to help him.

Hell… by sunrise, he expected that the two would be right drunk and not even able to stay awake anyway.

Moros listened to them as they basically put him down, then sized him up, which caused him to roll his eyes once again as he grabbed a tattered curtain and pulled it shut across the busted out window.
“Please don’t speak about me when I’m right here… I’m not a piece of meat that you guys can just decide to keep or toss…” He spoke rather nonchalantly as he turned and looked around, knowing they needed something else which would keep the light from coming through the window. That’s when he caught site of a large table, which wasn’t too busted up. He moved over there and picked the table up, then went to set it in place over the window.

She watched as Moros went around closing curtains and rolling tables in front of busted up windows. Did he ACTUALLY think that was gonna work? She arched a thin brow as she brought the bottle to her lips again, taking a swig as he lifted the table and began to roll it over toward the window.

Slowly, Agemf tilted her head to the side, watching his muscles start to flex as he did so. Agemf thought,
“Hmph… Not bad…” but as he walked closer past her, she caught a wiff of something that she did not like very much.

Immediately, the smell made her bolt upright and grimace, watching him with an annoyed look now as he kept working to seal up the place so no light would get to him. She did not want to outright say who he smelled like, as she did not want to start shit with Blazed, especially since they were getting along for the moment. But she could not help but say to him,
“You need a damn bath… You stank.”

The path of destruction created by The First of all Vampires seemed to oddly be following this group of vampires which had escaped the Inn des Vampyre, as if the creature were honing in on a particularly scent… hunting down what was deemed as week. The feeling of The First’s presence would be felt by those of Vampyric blood, feeling the rise in temperature within their cold bodies as The First approached.

It only had one thing on it’s mind, and that was to extinguish the dimming light of those vampires that The First deemed unfit and unworthy of the gift that was so brazenly given to them. In particular, Moros would feel the rising of the temperature within his cold, vampyric blood… as well as feel the life draining from those he had been traveling with, Danielle and Criss.

The feel of being watched was something that did not leave Moros as he covered up the window with the table, sighing and shaking his head as he heard Agemf comment under her breath. With rolling eyes, he looked toward her, hearing her comment that he needed a bath right after that.

Moros sneered a bit, arching a brow as he watched her, then looked down at himself.

He stank? Well of course he stank. He just escaped from whatever in Paris, and with the effects of their pursuer he was going to sweat a little. Moros was just about to look to Agemf and say just that when he felt something.

The rise in his temperature, the thin veil of sweat that began to form on his brow.

Moros’s face went blank as he just stared at Agemf, his jaw slacked open as his breathing shalowed. The First… The First was here… And truthfully, Moros did not know what to do.
“I… I… I’ve gotta get out of here,” was all he could mutter before he began to dart for the back of the bar, knowing there must be a rear exit.

A sneer remained on her face as Moros looked down at himself, looking as if he were going to say some smart assed comment  at any moment. Pursing her lips, she leaned a bit forward, narrowing her shoulders a bit as she crossed her forearms over her knees so that her breasts were pushed forward. It wasn’t like she was trying to use her sexuality to get something, actually she was trying to do it to intimidate him.

However, it seemed like it scared him.

The moment he started sweating and looking around like a caged animal, her brow furrowed. She did not quite get what she had done, but then as her mind began to wander to think of what could have gone on, she caught a feeling. A feeling that was already eerily familiar from when this “First” had come after all the blood suckers earlier.

With a narrowing eye, Agemf debated… She could let this guy run out and surely die, or she could try to do something to help rectify the situation. It was really more a question if she wanted to be stuck with Blazed by themselves, or have someone else around… a distraction.

A distraction sounded better, as Agemf and Blazed certainly did not have a history of getting along famously.

Agemf hopped off the bar she was sitting on, placing her bottle on it behind her as she walked up to Moros, reaching out and roughly grabbing his arm. When she pulled him to her, the look on her face was far from playful and condescending as usual, instead an odd calmness and seriousness in them.
“If you get out of here, your certainly going to die…” Agemf’s gaze then darted around, looking quickly as she tried to figure out a solution.

“There’s gotta be a cellar here for the wines, go there… and wait for me. Don’t make a noise, don’t even breath.”

She then took a step away from Moros, moving toward the table he had rolled in front of the door. She pushed against it with her side, moving it only enough so that she could slip out. Before leaving, she looked back to Moros, “Close this behind me… and if you feel it come closer, run like hell.”

Moros did not know where he was going, or where he should go to, just that he needed to get out of here if he wanted to survive. He was feeling like a caged dog who knew a storm was coming, and as he rushed toward the back of the bar he did not even remember that he was not alone. Blazed and Agemf did not exist, only himself and his desire to survive. Yet when he felt the hand grab his arm and spin him around, the eyes that settled on the red-head were ones of something that was terrified they were going to die.

He did not know why he should listen to her, it’s not like he knew Agemf that well, but at the same time who else was there for him to listen to? Flavius had gone off with Danielle and Criss, and he was stuck with Agemf and Blazed. If Flavius was here, Moros would listen to him, but he wasn’t here… and it was only Agemf that was making any sort of mention of anything to try to help Moros… or at least that’s what he hoped she was doing. Moros watched Agemf with scared yes, nodding as he listened to her before she turned and walked toward the door.

A cellar…

Yes, every bar has to have a cellar… at least Moros thought they did. He turned and started making his way to the doorway which led into the back room, but stopped short when he heard Agemf speak again. Without really thinking, he did as he was told, making his way to the door and rolling the table over it again after she left. He then turned, glancing to Blazed for a second before making his way into the back room to find the cellar.
