Full Name: Romanus Carvus Romanus Carvus was born in the Lands of Airis-Ivis, the city of Deverou', while his parents hid from the Archons so he could be born. There were no
cemeteries there, most being either burned in pyre or sent out to sea by way of raft into the horizon. Romanus was a mere 10 years of age when both his mother and father fell to an Archon attack, or what they believed was an Archon attack. He hid amongst their dead bodies until the infiltrators left. It was after this life changing incident that he grew in a great many ways, one being inner strength. He did not burn his mother's and father's bodies, instead he chose to build a raft for them, place them on it, and instead of burning them at sea, he left on the raft, hidden under the refinery that his parents were to be buried in. Those of Deverou' believed Romanus to be a bit touched in his ways. He always seemed to be talking to people that weren't there. This wouldn't be odd for a normal youngster to have imaginary friends, but Romanus would have very in depth conversations with them, talking of things that even adults seldom talked about. When he used the raft to go from the Marakai to Earth, the people of Deverou' were happy that he was gone. Many believed that he was the reason for the attack, where many were actually converted to
Archaism to save their lives. The raft actually traveled for 2 years before it hit land again, and somehow, even after he removed their bodies and let them sink to the depths of the Marakine Sea, he had grown, almost to the size of an adult male, and survived on the sea life of his travels. Romanus found himself in the area one would come to know as Spain in later times, but made his way as a young man towards the Romanian countries. It was here that he felt the most at peace, though can one really find peace talking to a bunch of ghosts? Even the gypsy wonder how he has so much sway with them and have taken into account on several
occasions that it seemed as if he killed 10 times the amount of people he should have been able to, making their elders wonder if he has command over the ghosts and wraiths of the Romanian countrysides. It has been said that he speaks with a small impish man on
occasion. No one knows his name or would dare tell it if they did. Romanus was said to have bargained with this man for the abilities he held, but that is far from the case. Was it the impish man who saw in Romanus something that was so akin to what he himself could do? Was it the impish man who honed Romanus's power with the spiritual world and helped him make his abilities grow so that he could not be detected? Is this why Romanus protects this man, one would call a 'will-maker'? So many questions lay about Romanus that it is a wonder that Romanus hasn't raised the eyes of more than a few of the creatures that find their home on Earth and in the Marakai. He has been seen on a couple occassions with a woman that he would only tell them was named "Gabby". It has raised suspicions a couple of times, especially since she could be easily seen to be a Fallen Angel through their spiritual eyes. He never speaks of their conversations which are not in a tongue that the gypsies know, and she never seemed to stay long. Romanus is a private individual, and it is unknown if he has sired any children, for he never speaks of them. He does have a commanding presence, and a like for the gypsy women, though whom his lovers might be... only he and his lovers know. Romanus has grown edgy over the last couple of years with the opening of the Marakai to Earth through the portal. He almost hungers for battle that is not of just human stature. But he has the patience of a monk when it comes to such things, as he waits for the time his sword will be needed to cleanse the Earth of the vile creatures that come through on occassion.
