Mordaunt Akaros is a human that was born
within the Marakai to two evil warlords. His mother and father died in outside
Earth in war, and died in the Marakai in war as well. It was to be expected;
they lived a blood-thirsty life in both dimensions and paid heavily for it. But
Mordaunt came to be the complete opposite of his mother and father, even though
he was raised by them and their hateful ways up until Mordaunt was sixteen-years
old. Mordaunt never believed in the ways of evil. He was surrounded most of his
life by darkness and all of the evil that dwells within it, but not once was his
mind opened to their ways. Because of this, Mordaunt was ousted by his father.
His father wanted a strong warlord like himself, for a son, not a ‘weakling’, as
his father called him. His mother had hopes for Mordaunt until the day she died,
but it was not to be. On his mother’s deathbed, where she laid with the sword
still plunged through her stomach, Mordaunt told her that he would never be like
her, but he would always love her as his mother.
Mordaunt set out to live his own life after that, one with a hunger for the good
things left in the world—both world
s—and
he became a legend amongst the denizens of the Marakai who were also not
conforming to the darkness. He is a charming man, but respectful of women and
quite honestly fears what he would produce if he ever had a child of his own. He
does not want this, yet at the same time, he does. He wants to have a son or a
daughter of his own that he can teach the ways of peace and how to fight for it.
But he refrains from producing one, in fear that the treacherous blood he was
born from will become a part of his child and that his child will turn out to be
like his mother and father. This fear is also brought on by the fact that he has
three sisters by the same parents, that all became evil.
When the Marakai opened; it was like a dream come true. Mordaunt, for many
years, wanted nothing more than to see the outside world. But it was the one
thing he did not do, though he had every chance to do so. He believes that he
must do everything he can within the Marakai to stop the plague of evil, before
going onto bigger places to spread his noble wrath. He is a warrior, a very
skilled one at that. But he is also quite the scholar. One day he may be seen
carrying an array of weapons on his person, dressed as though he has just come
from battle, or is about to go into one. And the next, Mordaunt is dressed in
his finest suit as if he is about to attend an engagement of the high society.
He loves knowledge and has a vast wealth of it when it comes to Marakian
history, but he truly devotes himself to nothing more than he does the
prevailing of peace and goodness. He will stop at nothing to rid the world of
the chaos it has become and those who have caused it.
