Quote: " Never show your true power. Keep both your friends and foes guessing about your true prowess. It will keep them on their toes and you with the upper hand. " King Vikit-aeon during his reign.

A very old Archon, born only 2 years after his predecessor, friend and ally, King Vikit-aeon, Meltuho-nyne did not follow a solitary or well populated life when he was younger. He knew his predecessor and the Itziar tribe quite well, when it was in its prime. Though Meltuho-nyne's lineage is unknown, it would not have been surprising if it were to be found that he was related to the former King and Itziar tribe.

Meltuho-nyne leaned well his studies in the Archonic ways and the Laws that came to pass in the book of Archonic Laws, but like his predecessor, he did not limit himself to only those teachings. By the time he took the throne, Meltuho-nyne not only held the Archonic powers of Conversion, Grand Illusion, Summoning, Mind Control, Supernatural Strength, Flight and Source Stealing, he had added Hypnosis, Mind Reading, Telepathy, Telekinesis, Earth Manipulation and Fire Manipulation. He rarely used his other powers in front of other Archons unless there was a need to prove his 'worth' or there was a threat against the Archons that needed such things. It is said only a few that still live know of some of his powers.

Meltuho-nyne was one who did not hold back his seed from making other Archons. It was also rumored that he had partaken in lessers, demons as well as humans, but these rumors were unfounded and proven as such. His seed moved through many of the tribes, but there were very few of his children that made a difference in the Archonic World and the Marakai. Meltuho-nyne was dismayed with this and took his anger out, many a time, on a captive of he and Vikit-aeon.

Ahhh, a time in his life that was not archived, but is worth mentioning, for it is said that only the Oracle and Bayloc know of this, and neither did nothing about it. There was a Seer and a Healer, the two well-respected Archons had come across in the early years of Vikit-aeon's reign as King. She had warned Vikit-aeon that if he didn't make a change in the Archonic way of life, setting down Laws and giving order to the Archons, it would be his doom and the doom of the Archon race. Meltuho-nyne had first taken this seer's words and tossed them aside, but Vikit-aeon did not. When Vikit-aeon set forth the tribes, rendered the laws and gave each tribe a say, the wars ended for a time, this made Meltuho-nyne take guardianship of said human seer female and send couriered advise as it was given by her to Vikit-aeon. The only thing the female had failed to tell them was of the movements of their mortal enemies, the Fallen Angels.

Vikit-aeon fell in an assassination. There was no evidence of who killed him or most likely there would have been a retributive strike. Again to Meltuho-nyne's dismay the human seer whom had lived far longer than a normal woman would have, had no words to tell him. Meltuho-nyne realized this in his anger and began to doubt the seer. He, having been charged with trying to convert the woman, had been unable to break down the woman's protections. Now he would have no choice, he needed to give the Archons target for their anger.

At first, Meltuho-nyne tried to starve the seer, to get her to speak what he needed to hear, but that failed as she found a way to live: eating things that crawled to sustain her. Then came torture, which didn't work either, as she proved too resistant to the pain. Then came the temptations, through male servants, both human and converted lesser demons loyal to him. He still had not broken this woman. He had now only stopped her visions all together as the woman said would happen.

But she was conniving and manipulative. She gained her -freedom- again, one evening as he came to her. Naked, bruised and scarred from all forms of abuse, she was weeping when he entered. He stood over her, " What causes these tears, woman? " His voice was cold and calculating, unmoved by the displays of emotions, from the 'sightless' seer.

" I... I am sorry my King... " The words came between sobs. This caught his attention for two reasons: she apologized and she referred to him as king. Vikit-aeon had been the only one called that by this woman. He stood there stunned for a few minutes. During that time, the woman of red flowing hair so long now that a slight movement of her head caused her hair to cover her entire body from his eyes. This broke the stunned Meltuho-nyne out of his thoughts. He reached down picking up the woman. He pulled the pins on the woman's restraints and released her. He turned and took her out of the dungeon and walked upward toward his own chambers. The woman was almost lost in the 12 foot tall, 2000 pound Archon's form, as the servants watched their beloved master carry the weak looking seer into his chambers and use his tail to shut the door.

It was believed by Meltuho-nyne's servants that it was that night that began his rise to power. Servants were run ragged over the next month in care of this woman and Meltuho-nyne never left her presence. In fact, he slept in the same bed with his tailed coiled around her waist to assure that she didn't escape or couldn't be taken. When the woman finally made him believe that he had nothing to fear by leaving her side, Meltuho-nyne began his rise to power, working to bring the tribes together as the Fallen had used this time of chaos, without a strong king, to strip the world, the Marakai, of as many Archons as possible. There were now only 50 tribes in existence from their 180 of Vikit-aeon's reign, but they were dwindling fast. There were still far too many non-aligned Archons in the Marakai and Meltuho-nyne set focus on them. He was able to bring many of them back into the fold. Almost fifty percent of them returned and found tribes they could fit into. This was one of the reasons Meltuho-nyne gained so much respect. He had done what Vikit-aeon did, only in a different way.

Centuries would now pass, the female still a captive and looking as young as the day she had been captured. But that was coming to an end as well... she foresaw Meltuho-nyne's dethroning. It was while he was away attending an meeting of the Archonic Circle that this 'vision' came to the woman's mind. Her bindings were unseen; bindings that were not to Vikit-aeon or Meltuho-nyne, but to something quite different. She had proven much to those whom had sent her to Brada to be captured by the Archons. She had served her purpose. She had learned more than her superiors could have even imagined. This would be her undoing, though she would not know that her last 'vision' would truly be her last. So she took the time to write Meltuho-nyne a scroll, then she vanished without a trace.

Letter: You will be dethroned soon. Something opposite you will come, and you will fall unless you make it seem as such and go into hiding. The Archons will need your leadership in the future, this I do know. Brada is no longer safe, nor is Deshu or Airis-Ivis from those who would complete their task. Mithoul will be your safest bet. There is supposed to be a place of immense power, the old capital that has not stood for centuries before you and Vikit-aeon captured me. I don't know where to find it, only that it is close to a desolate swamp. I must go now. Good Luck Meltuho-nyne.

There was no signature on the scroll and no trace of her left in Meltuho-nyne's lair. She had just 'vanished'. Not even his servants could pinpoint her leaving. When Meltuho-nyne returned, he was angered to not find her there. He read the scroll and burned it. He had always known she would vanish, but not in this way. She could have stayed and gone with him and he would have continued guarding her as he had promised. Why had she left?

It was a week later that Meltuho-nyne had been dethroned, which gave him enough time to plan according to his seer. When he found the place of power she spoke of, he found it marked with only one thing: a pair of Fallen wings, ends scorched from where they had been removed from a Fallen's blade from a Fallen's back. The swamp near there was the entry point he sought. He had just about given up trapsing through the muck and mud, when he spied something odd ... familiar ... It was the head of his seer. He moved quickly to it, digging around it to help drag her up out of the mud and slime. Alas, it was only her head. Oddly peaceful in its opened eyed stare. He picked up the head and stared right back at those eyes that had seen so much over the centuries.

After several hours, Meltuho-nyne sunk into the mud and through the slate underneath until he reached an underground tunnel. Here is where he would build his next lair and watch. Plotting ruthlessly against those who had betrayed Vikit-aeon, the Archonic Laws, himself... He found an Alchemist to make sure the head of his fallen seer did not deteriorate, and it hasn't.

From below the savage lands of Mithoul, Meltuho-nyne has watched, waited. Through the eyes of his seer, he believes he can see all of the Marakai. Though it is quite improbable, it is not impossible. He knows much. He still has his servants and they still inform him of the goings on, in their own way, most times not even knowing it. He even knows of the Devenmore Prince that was human, that cause the tribal civil war that all but drove them to extinction. And even more so, he knows of the human healer and assassin that was given a seat on the Archonic Circle by Klavodian-dayne, which makes him grin. And if anyone knew where the original book of Archonic Laws was hidden, it would be him.

Now, he has the child of his youngest son's treachery in his reach. He uses the lesser now to do his bidding above and planse to bring back the Archonic race to its former glory and strength. Now searching for the one he heard of before and possibly met before... an Itziar, one of strength and wisdom to accomplish this great task with him. Meltuho-nyne has seen the signs, and believes that this was the time the seer spoke of... The time that the Archons will need him most.
