Radu Mazonn was the first of this bloodline. He is Romanian. Mazonn vampires are divided among their kin. It seems that half of them are loyal to Radu—who still lives—and the other half aren’t necessarily defiant to Radu, but rather have simply gone their separate ways for whatever individual reasons, and kept the Mazonn name.

Mazonn vampires cannot be categorized by any particular traits like the other five original bloodlines because most of them are quite different from one another. But there is one single trait that all Mazonn vampires share; even those reborn into new bloodline names: they always kill their victims when they feed because the feeding itself forces them into an uncontrollable state of ecstasy. This is an inherited trait of Radu. Because of this, (some of them see it as a curse), Mazonn vampires cannot engage in any companionships with humans and drink from them in an act of love, for they know they will ‘accidentally’ kill them. Mazonn vampires seek companionship—if they need it—in other vampires.

For a Mazonn to embrace a fledgling, he must have a third-party involved to stop him from draining his fledgling to the point of death. For this reason, there are not many Mazonn vampires. They are the second smallest bloodline, next to the Amenophis.
