-The Marileus-The Marileus bloodline are of ancient Roman descendant. The first of this line is Julia Marileus. Julia sent her vampire army to war with the Authurian bloodline, defeated them and enslaved them to claim her superiority over the defiant Authurians. But it was a war that Julia almost lost. Because the Authurians were so powerful, Julia ordered those of her bloodline to sire thousands of fledglings to serve in her army. This is mainly the reason why the Marileus bloodline is the largest of The Six original lines. No precise number can be calculated, but there are well over forty thousand Marileus vampires walking the Earth today. In addition, there are thousands of new bloodline names that have stemmed from the Marileus. The most widely known are the Devish, the Kanavven, the Mortis and the Blaine. Marileus vampires are still quite powerful despite their laid-back, scholarly type. The trait of war still flows through their veins, but one might not guess it when meeting one for the first time. Most Marileus vampires appear to avoid conflict at all costs. They tend to stay out of the quarrels of others and prefer the quiet of solitude and the rewards of learning. These vampires are typically respectful and kind—to those who deserve it—and even when they feed they tend to do it as delicately as possible, usually sparing the victims life. But do not let first impressions or stereotypes lead you astray. To anger a Marileus vampire could be a fatal mistake. © Copyright 2006 - 2009 J.A.
