Malana Authurian was killed in a short battle at the hands of Charan Authurian.

Malana Authurian was one of the first of many vampires Embraced by Lord Malik Authurian himself. Her undead life was taken straight from the veins of Malik, thus making her one of the most powerful Authurians of all Authurians. However, for some, too much power has its repercussions. Even though Malana inherited many of Malik’s powers and abilities: telepathy, mind control, mind reading, supernatural speed, levitation and inheriting, she is quite literally ‘insane’, to put it bluntly. Sometimes she comes off as normal as any other Authurian vampire, but she can turn on you when you least expect it. Some say that she has two entirely separate personalities: ‘the tolerable’ and ‘the terrible’. When she is tolerable, she is genuinely as kind as any Authurian is capable of being, not that that says much—most of them are not so kind. She interacts, socializes, plots and schemes, partakes in raids and is even ‘leader material’ when she wants to be. When her personality shifts, she has been known to kill any living thing that gets in her way. She knows no consequence and does not fear death.

Despite Malana’s transgressions, she is well-liked among many Authurians. In battle, she is insatiable and formidable. Her battle technique far surpasses most female vampires in her generation. She is a master with a broadsword and can throw daggers with great precision. She also isn’t too bad with a bow and arrow. It is safe to say that Malana knows weapons, in fact; she can turn just about anything into an effective weapon if she has to. Malana is widely-known by the Authurians, as well as the other bloodlines. Her reputation is rightfully so, both distinguished and notorious. Some know she is a vital asset to the Authurian Nation, but others, though they know she’s good, they despise her and would rather not have her in their ranks. But the one thing that is safely true about Malana in both personalities is that she lives and breathes her bloodline, will only kill another Authurian if her life is threatened, or if one has betrayed her higher-ups.

Malana is considered ‘ancient’, though none know when she was Embraced exactly. And Malana herself cannot accurately pin-point the time either. The further her mind passes into the abyss of insanity, the more she forgets of her past. But there is one thing she remembers, and remembers well: her old lover, Lucian-Anir Marileus. They were lovers before Malana’s mind began to recede, but this was a forbidden union in the Authurian and Marileus Houses, because the two bloodlines are eternal enemies. She was presented with a choice: kill Lucian, or be killed. Of course, she did not choose the latter. She attempted to kill Lucian, but Lucian already knew something like this would come to pass, and he prepared for it in advance. Needless to say, she did not get the opportunity to kill Lucian, but her efforts did not go unnoticed by her bloodline. They let her live, for they knew she was loyal to them.

Today, Malana is everywhere. She dips her hands in everything, politics, war, even peace treaties. She often takes assassination and spy jobs for the Authurians, but she has been known to mingle with Authurian rebels. Malana claims it is to know what goes on with all who are against the Authurians, even with those of the same blood, but some do not trust that explanation. Nevertheless, she has yet to prove the skeptics right.
