-The Higher Powers-

In The Fallen World, it is the same as it is in our real world concerning gods and goddesses of any kind. Different people and cultures follow and worship different higher powers. In Ancient Egypt, Egyptians worshipped the goddess Isis, ‘Goddess of Maternity’, and the god Osiris, ‘God of the Nile, vegetation and the dead’. In Rome, they worshipped gods like Saturn and Vulcan. The Greeks worshipped Zeus and Zephyrus. The list goes on for many different cultures. You will not be allowed to play any god or goddess characters in The Fallen World. Not only is it a form of ‘moding’, but it can create many contradicting and conflicting problems in character and out of character. It is better to leave well enough alone, where Higher Powers are concerned. Let your characters worship them all you want, but never play them (not even as a DC character).

Another god that can be followed and worshipped is the god ‘Marakai’. This is not to say there really is a god named ‘Marakai’ in The Fallen World, but with the way the world has changed and the Marakian dimension opened into the material world, it is inevitable that some—if not many—would begin to worship a being named Marakai, even if they have never seen him (or even her). It is only logical that this would happen.

Keep in mind too, that any character may worship another god or goddess (that you as the player make up). Your characters are not restricted to the Higher Powers that have been worshipped in our real world throughout history, or even the Marakian god. Like people, your characters have a mind of their own and you will not be limited in TFW when it comes to character worship.
