-The Forsaken-

-The Purpose-

The Forsaken are souls that are neither alive nor dead. They are caught in between the physical world and the Bellies of the Four Beasts. Most Forsaken are attached onto the physical plain with a purpose they are set out to do. There are other Forsaken who cannot face their ultimate fate because of the raw emotion of their death, meaning that there is still lingering emotional attachment to the physical world. While in these corporal states, they appear to be human and physical, but deep inside their bosoms they possess strange gifts given to them by the will-maker who decided that their fate was worthy enough to stay upon the earth. Some Forsaken were not chosen by this so called will-maker, and these select few were not given any special gifts, they just linger on the plain as the undead. To the Forsaken who sold their soul rather for revenge or just for another chance at life, these are commanded discreetly by the will-maker and cannot overcome his influence.

-Power-

Not all the Forsaken possess powers. Only the select few that were elected by the will-maker. Upon the powers he could give to these undead souls were those of spectral, shadow and immortality. Those of the specter sect can take ghost form and can even possess others. Those of the shadow sect can manipulate the shadows, thus even becoming one with it and/or gulping oneself into a shadow. Those who are granted immortality through their forsaken lives, live much like any other immortal does. They can only be killed by the removal of the head or soul. All the while, any other Forsaken can be killed like any other human. But in a since their immortality is limited, because if the day comes that their soul finds its repentance and complete its purpose, then the immortality is null and void, and the soul is committed to their fate.
