Full Name:  Ekaterina Alla Azov Nevsky

Age: 19

Parents:   Osip and Yulia Azov

 Nobility:  House Azov

Ekaterina Alla Azov was born 19 years ago to Osip and Yulia Azov.  She was the first female heir to the Azov family for quite some time, thus making her the most important to the family, especially to aid Averski Azov in his attempt to gain control of the throne.  But Osip would have none of that, he wanted nothing to do with his families evil plots to gain control of the Nevereskaya throne.  This devious planning was led by no other then his very own brother, Averski.  Mush to Averki's distress Osip did not wish to betray the throne despite their families past.

Averski didn't have that many years on Ekaterina, so at even a young age, Averski had a hunger for power.  From the day of Ekaterina's birth, Averski had saw the advantage of this beautiful young girl.   For the heir to the throne was none other them Maxim Nevsky, a child himself that was but a few years older then Ekaterina.  But as long as Osip and Yulia were living, and until he reached a suitable age himself, he would have no claim to Ekaterina, therefore he could not use her to his advantage.  Despite the families disagreement, Osip and Yulia both agreed that it would only be true to Ekaterina's heritage that she be raised in the providence of Churminsk, where the rest of the Azov family resided.

Up until the age of 17 she was happily raised by her parents who taught her that the greed that drives their family is nothing but a sin and should not be followed.  Soon after Ekaterina's seventeenth birthday tragedy stuck.  While traveling to a friends house that was a good distance from their home Osip and Yulia were attacked.  The attack was so sudden that the guards had little time to react and both Osip and Yulia died right there.  Was it planned?  Was it the works of Averski?  Who knows, but the thoughts have crossed many peoples mind.

The death Ekaterina's parents devastated her.  As any family would do in a time of morning, the Azov family pulled together.  Even going as far as to let Averski take in the newly orphaned Ekaterina.  After the proper mourning period Averski's true reasons for taking Ekaterina in began to surface.  He did everything to insure that she was to marry Maxim, the heir to the Nevereskaya throne.

It was a long road because Ekaterina was anything but proper.  Her parents had always let Ekaterina do as she wished so with her first verbal attack on Averski for his devious ways landed her a severe beating teaching her that she had little say in this if she wanted to survive.  With a great deal of force, she learned all that her uncle taught her.  Averski knew that Ekaterina's beauty would attract the young Maxim just as much as her families name would attract his families attention.  If Averski guessed correctly, they would see this as a way to insure there would be no offset of the throne since Ekaterina was the last possible heir to the Azov family that could accomplish Averski's greedful desires.

No one knew exactly what Averski had in mind, not even Ekaterina.  It worried her constantly.  She knew that she could be accused of being a conspirator if Averski was caught.  Punishable by death.  To Ekaterina, her fate was sealed.  Death was certain, the question was, at who's hands?  Ekaterina and Maxim were forced to wed with neither side really wanting to deep down.  She imagined that Maxim's family pointed out the advantages to it to him in order to persuade him and in his eyes, he thought she truly cared for him in a love sick puppy kind of way.

Her uncle was very direct on his orders of Ekaterina.  She was to get Maxim to trust her by any means possible, but he said the one thing she must be certain not to do is to become pregnant with the next heir.  He had told her that would ruin his plans and he would for sure kill her.

So now Ekaterina sets beside Maxim on the throne, ruling over Nevereskaya with him, seeming to be a very responsible and very capable Czarina when in reality she is fighting for her life.  Every so often, she is required to meet with Averski to update him on her progress of gaining trust and learning about the Nevsky family, but that time has long passed and she never met him out of fear that he won't accept what little she has learned.  How could she do this when her heart wasn't in it?  She had grown to admire Maxim's strength and capability to run the Empire smoothly and Ekaterina knows that she hasn't messed Averski's plans up, merely slowed them down and sooner or later he will seek her out in order to force her to do his bidding as he usually did.  So she was very weary about what was lurking in the shadows.  For now this is the way it was, something would have to give, the question is what?  Only time will tell....
