Residing in Ekaterinburg, Demyan was raised by two loving parents, Kiryl and Irisa Shostakovich. He has one younger sister, Kiska. Like most of the Shostakovich family, Demyan has a love for the arts. He has mastered architecture and is known for his richly designs. His work is sought out by many leaving him to only working long hours. Demyan has no family of his own, and is urged by both of his parents to continue the family legacy. Much to Kiryl and Irisa's distress, none of this matters much to Demyan for he is happy with only work and doesn't welcome any distractions. However, lately, Demyan has been traveling about the land studying the history, which has just started to catch his interest. It is often where he gets his inspiration from. Demyan is thought of by others as being odd and even mysterious, but there are very few people that actually know him.
