Chynica Iia Cherkess is the only child of Dima and Evelina Cherkess.  As most know, right up there with House Azov, the House of Cherkess is untrustworthy to the Empire and they're even rumored to practice Necromancy, which makes many weary.  But this was all years ago and now those rumors don't circulate as much as they once did.  Well, that is they didn't until Chynica started growing up.  There have been many suspicious things that surround her, but that didn't keep her from befriending Maxim Nevsky, who is now the Czar. 

Chynica's reputation isn't one a respectful lady of a noble house should carry, but she carries it with pride.  She is known for her abashing clothing and behavior and is called a tease among the men.  The reason for this is due largely in part to Chynica only being interested in someone if they have something she wants or needs, usually information and there are only so many ways you can go about getting that information.  If someone wants to know something, they usually go to her, but rarely find out anything unless the purpose is suitable to her, which is rare. 

Many know that there is no love loss between the current Czarina and Chynica.  In fact, it is even said that Chynica has used her magic to make the Czarina very ill in an attempt to be rid of her once and for all.  It isn't that she wants Maxim for her own, but she has seen a glimpse into the future and realizes if she doesn't change it, then Maxim's fate could be devastating to all around.  Could Chynica actually be right?
