History

In a time long ago, before humans were what they are today, there lived a race of Gods called the Titans. It is now commonly known as “Greek Mythology”, but all stories are rooted in truth. The battle between the Titans and the Olympian Gods raged in the Elysian Fields before time was time., with the Titans on the loosing end. Well… at least most of them. There was one Titan, Poseidon, who sided with the rebellious Olympians, and it was they who triumphed. Upon defeating the Titans, the Olympians sealed the three most powerful Titans away. One of them was doomed to Tartarus, the Hell for Gods, deeper than Hades. Another two were condemned to live out life after life as just a mere mortal, forever condemned to live in the flesh of the humans they despised so much. The Titans were no longer a problem, however, the Olympians still saw one potential threat. If Poseidon turned his back on his own fellow Titans, what makes us think that he won’t do the same exact thing to us Olympians? And so it was done, that Poseidon was locked away in the guise of Arzulge, the Heavenly Assassin, the Angel of Death, never to be released again. Or at least that’s how the story went…

(OOC Note: The Titans have resurfaced, gathering their strength in Tartarus, having recruited not just their fellow Titans, but other powerful beings. Poseidon has been “freed” from his prison as Arzulge, but it uncertain where his true allegiances lie.)
