There isn't anyone that knows anything about Tempeste. For nearly a year, she has called Rome her home, but she hasn't familiarized herself with anyone, nor with anything, save for her assignment. Any other time, the chance to visit Rome would be a dream come true, but under the circumstances, Tempeste is less than excited to be there. Her time and devotion is saved for one thing, one person, Emperor Gaius Xerxes Ceasar. As everyone knows, there is no love loss between the Authurians and anyone else, especially Rome. So, it wasn't surprising when Rome was worked into a frenzy thanks to Nahala Authurian, a rebel Authurian whose hate for Rome outweighs Nahala's hate for her own kind.

Tempeste is a trained assassin who grew up in Ireland, one of the territories that were seized by the Authurian of the Vampiric Nation. As a condition to spare her life, it was agreed that Tempeste would use the abilities she displayed, in order to defend herself from Authurian, to help. Although this isn't her battle, and it was her home territory that had been taken over, Tempeste wasn't given much of a chance to object. It was either fight for the enemy, or die. So now, Tempeste fights for a cause that isn't her own and in the end she cannot help but wonder if her life will end, regardless if she succeeds or not.

As luck would have it, Tempeste didn't succeed. Not only that, but she is now a prisoner to Rome, the very place she has grown to hate. Tempeste is of some value to Rome now. She will be able to tell them how the Authurians conduct their business, as well as the inner workings of them. Of course, as one would imagine, Tempeste isn't being cooperative. She realizes that her fate at the hands of the Roman Empire is far less dangerous than if the Authurians were to get a hold of her. Not only had she failed, she had compromised them. They didn't know that she hadn't told anything, nor would they believe her if she said she hadn't. To make matters worse, it was the rebel Nahala that captured her. Now Nahala had the other Authurians seeking her out because of her actions towards Rome without their approval, which made Nahala really desperate to get a hold of Tempeste, who didn't have a chance either way.

Her parents were killed years before in a raid, leaving her to be raised by her four brothers. This insured her survival today because they were what she is now: assassin-for-hire. The payment alone was not being done in coins; it was her life she hoped to gain if an end ever came to all of this. Even if this all ends soon, Tempeste has nothing to go back to. Her brothers were slaughtered in the raids against her homeland. She just hopes to walk away from this with her freedom. Where she goes after that will be left to fate.

Away from all of the fighting and all of the political conflicts, Tempeste is a loner of sorts. She never had any friends and her brothers kept the opposite sex away from her. Tempeste was well known for her abilities with a bow and arrow, along with several other weapons. She is stubborn in nature, yet she tries to be reasonable. Tempeste isn't quick to grow angry, but when she is, it's hard to tell because she doesn't show it, she just strikes while the iron is hot.
