Legend has it that Raziya was once the lover of Malik Authurian himself, embraced by him shortly after the fall of Alexander the Great's rule over Babylon, when Babylon was in dissaray and warlords were attempting to stake their claim on the lands. Legend has it Malik had fallen in love with her for her ruthless, cold, and selfish ways. Legend even tells that Malik tried to kill Raziya... fearing that she herself would try to do the same to Malik to satisfy her insatiable lust for power. Yet this was all legend... rumor, and Raziya herself may not even remember, or more precisely, may not even care any longer of the truth to any rumors of her. Any ties that Raziya may have to Malik are simply that... rumors, yet rumors that cease to die.
Raziya had ascended to power during the decline of the old kingdom, during the period after Alexander the Great's death. She was the daughter of a General, one whom sought to stake his claim on the lands. Raziya was propelled into riches that only women of her time can dream of, by the strength of her desire and her beauty. She had capitalized on the greed and lust of Generals as they pit themselves against each other, ensuring her father's success in gaining lands for their family. Her success was based on her ruthlessness, cunning, and her impeccable skills at seduction... Once her father had gained power over much of the former Babylonia, she killed him in his sleep, claiming the land for herself.
It was these these qualities that attracted her maker. And it was these same qualities that led to his attempt at killing her years later, her head severed... Raziya survived the attack, though only barely. It is not known whether her sire truly was Malik, as she has not seen her sire since his attack on her. It is very possible that her sire was just an Authurian vampire claiming to be Malik, later killed by the true Father of the Authurian bloodline. Raziya does not appear to hold any grudge toward the vampire that embraced her, and then attempted to end her life, still carrying the Authurian name proudly.
After her sires attempted murder of her, Raziya turned inward, becoming extremely suspicious of others and intensely guarded. Yet this coldness did not last, as another vampire by the name of Lucian-Anir Marileus entered her life and managed to break down those walls she had built around her. However this was not to last, and Raziya once again endured the feelings of betrayal. It was the last time Raziya truly opened up to anyone, and the last time she swore to ever let another gain her trust in such a manner... the potential for treachery was too great.
To date, Raziya still struggles to hold on to the lands her family claimed so many years ago. With the recent invasion of the Marakian demons, Raziya had to make a quick decision... Fight a possibly futile endeavor and try to hold onto the lands, or ally herself with this Faction. Raziya chose survival... allying herself with the demons of the Marakai. The Authurian Blood in her veins told her this was the right decision, and that strong allies and connections had been made. No longer would the Authurians be alone in their conquests. But as Raziya knows from experience, one can never trust fellow warmongerers.
