Lukas
LeNight was an average boy during his younger years in the foothills of
northern England. His parents were both warriors, his father being a skilled
swordsman, and his mother was good with spells and knife-tossing. He learned
each of those skills in his young age, and he would prove that he would carry
on their legacy of fighting for a cause.
When he was 16,
his life would change forever. After his parents were killed during a holy
war, young Lukas made a vow that he would avenge their lives by killing off
the species that eliminated not only his parents, but his people as well. He
traveled across England and Scotland to find the people who murdered his
parents. Armed with his father's broadsword, some of his mother's daggers,
and a heavy heart, Lukas searched hard and wide for the marauders. Finally,
after three months of searching, he found the enemy camp in the eastern
shores of Wales and proceeded to slaughter them without mercy or
reinforcement. It was one man against dozens of well-trained soldiers, and he
killed them all without any concern for his well-being. He was stabbed and
cut many times, but it didn't matter. So long as his parents were avenged, it
was fine by him.
When the battle was over, he has suffered severe blood loss and nearly lost
his right arm in the battle. He was on his knees and ready to accept his
death when a cloaked elder walked across the sandy beach. He saw Lukas and
the ruins of the enemy camp, knowing what the young man had done. He reached
out to him and said to Lukas, "Your time has come, young one. Your parents
have been avenged, and now, follow your own destiny."
Lukas took the man's hand, and suddenly, fell unconscious. When he woke up,
he was back in England with no knowledge of how he got there. However, he did
discover that he was not the same man that he was before. With the dark brown
cloak of the old man now upon him, he wasn't sure what was he to make of
this. He also had received a new sword that was placed in his charge, several
ordained jewels were upon the golden hilt. The daggers of his mother were now
replaced by 4 1-foot metallic claws that came out of the knuckles of his
hands. He doesn't know what has happened to him during the encounter with the
old man, but he knew that his life was never to be the same again. Now, a
freelance mercenary, Lukas sets out to discover the true meaning of what has
happened to him, and what it holds for his future.
