About & History: The story of Alsandair (protector of man) is one of turmoil, deceit, corruption, treachery, bravery and loyalty. For in only twenty three years this young man has gone from rags to riches. But at a heavy cost.
It was in the Land of the Scots that this one was born. Born into this world a bastard, his mother was the victim of horrible acts in which the Noble of his homelands swept his mother away from the very ceremony that would have united his mother and father for all of eternity in marriage. It was said that it was the god given right of the noble to take any newly wed woman into his own bed in order to "consecrate" the marriage. But the harsh and true reality was that the remaining English noblemen were animals, cowards that hid behind the power of their title.
Upon the return of his mother from the horrible stay with the noblemen, Alsandair's father took up his sword and upon that fateful day he exerted his god given right, to defend his family.
In a foolish act the young Scot cut the noblemen down from his steed. It was a valiant battle but the guards of the lord outnumbered his father six to one. And on that very day the blood of four men lay upon the ground. Alsandair's Father, the nobleman and one of two of his guards.
And so it came to be that the mother that Alsandair never knew left her homelands in fear of the consequences and the repercussions. For she knew that the remaining members of the noble family would not take lightly to the slaying of the head member, nor would the allow a bastard to disgrace their "holy name."
Pregnant, alone and penniless the woman sat out on a stormy night to seek the shelter of the Druids of the North. It would take her six months of secretive travel to reach the northern parts of Scotland and seek out the secret order of the Druids. For in these times all none Christian people were hunted down and executed in the name of blasphemy and in the name of Christ.
For nearly a month the young woman hid herself in the Groves of the Blessed Oak, before her stalkers found out her locations. All that she feared had come true. The remaining members of the noble family, had sent assassins and scouts to hunt her down. They were given specific orders to hunt down and slay her and the bastard child.
It was the day of Alsandair's birth that they finally caught up with her. She had traveled to the sacred place of Stone Hinge, seeking out protection from the gods. From what he has been told Alasdair's mother was not taken by the swords, or arrows of her hunters but in child birth. It was also said that on this day he was swept away by one of the local druids. Saved from the clutches of death itself. It is believed that the gods granted his mother both protection from her hunters, and blessed her child with gifts that would allow his twisted destiny to become that in which he desired. Some say that this is where his powers originated from.

The druid cared for the young one and gave him the name he is now known for. But the druid knew that as long as he stayed with the English Kingdom that he would never be given peace every man deserved. So he sent Alsandair across the channel and into Europe, under the care of a man known only as Luther. Luther was a traveling man of little importance to the world but he was all that the very young Alsandair knew. For nearly ten years Alsandair traveled across Europe and the middle east, trading goods and services alongside Luther. Luther grew sickly with a mysterious illness that eventually took him to his death and left the young Alsandair in the great city of Rome.

And so it came to be that the young scoot had traveled across lands that his mother probably never even heard of, and it was in the streets of this city that Alsandair became the man he is today. He enlisted in the Imperial Army where he honed his skills with the sword and shield. After a few years of traveling with the army he found himself back at the place of his birth...Scotland.

It had been twenty years since his feet padded the highlands, and he did not even know that one day he would become a highly regarded official with the Roman Empire, nor did he know that one day he would govern these lands and fulfill his namesake of the protector of man.

Within the next few years of his life Alsandair face perils that out weighed the ones that had been set before him in the past. In fact he faced enemies that he did not even believe existed. But through his loyalty, bravery and honor he fought his way through the ranks of the Imperial Army and eventually found himself in the good graces of Emperor Gaius Xerxes Caesar. Who eventually gave him the position in which he now holds.

Currently Alsandair has take up residence in the area around Wales, he constantly searches for the portal that leads to the Marakai Dimension. His intentions are to eventually enter the portal and find away to close it but first he must protect the lands in which he now governs and to protect its people from the demons and vampires that are consistently attempting to besiege the Eastern Roman Empire. He knows the dire need to stop their forces from reaching the rest of the Empire. And so it is that a bastard Scot turned nobleman has become the first line of defense for the Eastern Roman Empire and the Protector of Man.
