elusive, valiant, merciless.... all words that have been used describe the
leader of the Roman Empire. To his enemies, he is someone they send spies and
assassins after, a man they must keep their ever vigilant eyes upon. To his
people, he is the man who brought peace and justice to his lands. Yet even with
his own people, rumors are abound of where he really came from.
Not much is
known about Gaius' past, as he rarely ever speaks of it. What is known of this
man is that he is a fearless, as well as ruthless leader. Gaius came to power
justly and honestly, rising through the ranks of the Roman Army, which he joined
at a peculiarly old age, his late teens. By the time he joined the army he
already had the reflexes of a cat, as well as unnerving ability to read his
comrads emotions. More than once the combination of these abilities have served
Gaius well, enabling him to pick out traitors as well as assassins before they
even knew they were found out.
Yet with all these factors abound, Gaius still keeps himself set apart from
those closest to him. His "inner circle" isn't really much of an inner circle at
all. His generals are those who speak with him most often, and even then it is
only on the matters at hand; protecting the Roman Empire and trying to regain
the lands taken over by the Aurthurian's.
For those of his lands who are a part of his Empire, he will lend an ear to
listen to their requests. To those who are not, he will not even spare a second
glance unless it is to his benefit.
