The only born daughter of Jophiel and Teariel Esperanza, Elita was known as the chosen hope for her family. She had shown much promise in her teachings and shared many of the same qualities as her brothers. Most of Jophiel's daughters had not survived the Attacks of the Fallen Angels against them, but for some odd reason even at the age of 5, she found ways to hide herself from them and survive.
To Jophiel's and Teariel's discontent, this child of theirs had seemed to be a sending of The One, and had a strange ability to hide from even their own kind, well noted at the age of 5 during one of the raids on the Esperanza, Gaulian home. From then she was trained in the ways of both killing and diplomacy, while being hidden from others of their kind outside the family.
The Lack of Perfection was something that could not be said about this little spitfire as she grew. Everything had to be just so, but that just so was not like her brethren. Her room, her clothing and her speech was simple, straightforward. She never minced words, nor put on a face in the public eye that did not match who she was. She preferred as she was young not to mingle with the others, but to study and perfect her abilities and arts. Though those who knew her, or know her, could and can see something missing within her eyes. A lack of life without controversy ... war.
Though her family had given help to either side of a war, she did not participate unless she felt it "right". She would size up each side and give her opinion to her father as the ears were turned. And many times, whether he listened to her or not, she was right about her instincts. The only art she perfected through her youth and even now was the beautiful voice she was born with. It has been compared to the mythical Sirens of the open seas. Her singing is more "pure" when she can feel the music run through her body and soul, when her passion cannot be released.
Elita has birthed 10 sons in her young life, and no females. Be this a fate for her or a curse that had been laid centuries ago, no one knows. Now that her sons are born and within the Esperanza ranks, she searches again. Her thirst not being quenched even with the wars with the Vampires. They have begun to run rampant over the Earth her father has settled them in, especially the Authurians. She has fought along side many of the Human rebels, believing strongly the bloodsuckers are not something the humans should be plagued with.
During her last visit home, she found her family slaughtered, and signs of demons that her father spoke of as the Marakai. She was barely able to get her things and remove herself from Gaul without getting tracked. She made it through battlefields that laid waste to Roman soldiers, her mind set on making it to Rome to not only inform Caesar, but to ask that he protect the rest of the Empire from something more powerful than the Arthurians.
Well-fated, she ran across a dying General, Tiberius Meridius, unknowing of his person, and was able to save him from death, so that she could get to Caesar what she knew about both the demons and the Arthurians. Within none left to keep her in line from her own kind, she is one of the missing Illimar whom was mistakenly born outside the Marakai. She knows not of her past life, not that it would make a difference. Her mind, as strong as it is, will not change what her heart is now pushing her to do... Keep the Marakai away from Rome, and as far outside of the Earthen plane as possible...
Now in Rome... She has been poisoned and taken in. What will glorious Rome with streets of gold become to her... Home or a Coffin?
