A very dangerous place the world is
these days. On land you have wars between monsters, human or not. On the sea
you have to do battle with the gods as well as their monsters. And now there
are even monsters from land that invade the sea and vice versa. Demetrius has never known anything but
the sea. There was a time that he lived on land, but that was long ago. As
long as he remembered he had been a pirate, kidnapped as a child and made to
clean up after those filthy, disgusting swaggering men. All they ever did was pillageand rape.
All just to get more booty which they in turn either stockpiled somewhere or
sold for food, wine and women. There was a time when their actions disgusted
Demetrius, a time when he felt too civil to engage in or even watch such
repulsive actions. What happened to him? Now Demetrius is the Captain of the
very pirates that kidnapped him as a child. Rumor has it that Demetrius is a
worse pirate than the man before him, saying that when they come ashore all is
destroyed. Men, women and children are killed Men, women and children are killed
while they steal everything of value from the villages. Then the villages are
burned down to the ground, leaving nothing but burnt embers in their wake. They said Demetrius was a monster, but
then the real monsters came. What is a monster to do now that real
demons are about?
