Like any Toran Demon, Callixtus sold his soul to an Archon to be what he has become. During his life Callixtus was a miscreant, spending most of his time in brothels. When he wasn't squandering his riches in the pleasantries of women, he was biding his time awaiting an opportunity to steal anything and everything from anyone. Eventually, this tendency for thievery turned into the outright burgalarizing of homes. Once he took the step of murdering there was no coming back for him. The experience of such a thing was heavenly to him and he could not stop. Even intercourse with prostitutes was nothing to the feeling of killing them shortly after. A manhunt was launched around his home to search for him when the killings began to be noticed. In his time, prostitution was a condoned, though dishonorable profession. It was when he was found and put to death by a small mob that he recieved the "opportunity" to become a Toran Demon. Needless to say, Callixtus jumped at the opportunity, wishing nothing more than to continue his worldly pleasures in someway.
